This morning we have 2 biblical concepts to wrestle with, "glory" and "love." both glory and love carries a different weight outside these walls. It's important that we clearly understand what Jesus is talking about in our Gospel lesson, for it inspires us to continue to follow Jesus. His love for you is glorious. His love is shown through us. |

When you think of a Biblical preacher that preaches a call to repentance, which Biblical preacher comes to mind? we think of John the Baptist preaching, “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near!” In our Gospel lesson, the week after Easter, Jesus is doing the same thing John did, calling Thomas to repentance. The message of the Resurrected Savior is also a call to repentance. This morning as we look at Acts, see how the Holy Spirit does indeed back the messengers of the Resurrection. The Resurrections call to repentance continues to be proclaimed. |

Since 1970's Christians serious about what God says in his word have been standing up to choose life over death. Christian serious about God's word have stood up for those living in their mothers wombs. Life is life, no matter if it is in a mother's womb or on the hospital bed. However, there are some very heavy emotional arguments that are used to justify murder, whether that be at the beginning of life or the end. We have a wonderful word of God, which encourages us just as it encouraged the Corinthians to not be fooled by emotional arguments. God is still God. God still responds to sin. Despite evidence to the contrary, he hasn't grown lax. Because God still responds to sin, he also provides a way out. |
