This Week’s Devotional Thought

“”Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means Sent). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing. ” (John 9:7)

He’d been born blind! Can you imagine how hard that must have been?

And then one day he met Jesus. Jesus made a paste of mud, put it onto his eyes, sent him to wash in the Pool of Siloam, and he could see! Can you imagine how exciting that must have been for him? Can you imagine the joy, the appreciation?

God has done something even better for you. You and I were born into this world as his enemies, dead in sins, headed for eternal damnation.

And then one-day Jesus introduced himself to you! One-day Jesus said, “I’m your Savior, I’ve paid for your sins. I’ve loved you with an eternal love.”

And now that same loving powerful God walks with you day by day.

Thankful for meeting Jesus, just like you,

Pastor Jacob Hanneman
